The Sentinal was originally developed for the 2010 Winter Olympics to provide a durable, wildlife-resistant waste container for high-profile public spaces. Today it continues to protect parks, campgrounds, resorts, and commercial properties across North America with proven bear-resistant performance and long service life.
Built for Decades of Service
The Sentinal is built using galvanneal steel, a material chosen for its excellent corrosion resistance and superior paint adhesion. Riveted construction allows for components to be replaced if damaged, extending the service life of the container while reducing maintenance costs.
Simple to Use. Easy to Service
The Sentinal make stream separation easy with dual front loading user doors. Its self-closing chute style user doors are easy to operate and keep contents secure from animals as well as any inclement weather.
Servicing is quick and straightforward using either the hinged bag cage or optional rigid plastic liner. The front unloading design allows the container to be installed tight against buildings, walls, and walkways, making efficient use of available space.
Certified Bear Resistant
The Sentinal is certified bear-resistant by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC). This certification includes successful testing with live bears.
Being bear-resistant, its also excels at keeping smaller animals like raccoons, squirrels, skunks, and rodents out. This helps reduce litter, lower cleanup costs, and greatly reduce wildlife conflicts.
Specialized Applications-Medical Waste
Beyond traditional waste and recycling collection, the Sentinal is also available in a specialized configuration for medical and biohazard waste collection. Developed for healthcare and institutional environments, it combines secure waste containment with the same durable construction of all our containers.
